Fire Cupping

Cupping therapy has been used in China for thousands of years. Its main goal is to restore the flow of energy along the Meridians by removing toxins from along their paths.

In this treatment, the fire cupping tradition will be adapted and combined with that of Physiotherapy: the cups will be slid and placed in the affected area to find release of the paining and/or stiff structures.

Contrary to muscle cells, the connective tissue is made, among others, of gluey cells (collagen) that, in lack of physical movement and/or in presence of pathologies, can get sticky. This results in a type of pain and a reduced range of motion in the affected joints  that massages and passive stretching alone cannot address.

Creating a vacuum effect through the applied cups on the skin literally separates the gluey cells of the connective tissue from one another, liberating them and resulting in a sense of relief.

Thai Yoga Massage

his form of massage treatment has been practiced in Thailand for over 2500 years. It originated in India with influences from both Ayurveda and traditional Chinese Medicine.

It is practiced on the floor with clothes on.

The therapist applies pressure with thumbs, hands, palms, elbows and feet, in addition to pulling and rocking the entire body to stretch the Sens/Meridians (pathways) and all the physical structures.

The combination of stretching, pressuring and moving of the body restores the natural flow of energy among the Sens, gifting calm and balance to the mind as well.
